Since starting training in 2022, James Owen has made his presence felt at the top of the ranks across all codes. 2025 saw EAST INDIA DOCK win the Triumph Hurdle Trials (G.2) at Cheltenham and then go on to win The Chester Cup. The stable also sent runners out to America, where WIMBLEDON HAWKEYE won the Nashville Derby (G.3), and went on to compete at the Breeders’ Cup along with stablemate ASPECT ISLAND, who came third in the Gr.1 Juvenile Turf Sprint.

James has continued to enjoy success throughout the winter on the All Weather, targeting the ARC All Weather Bonus Series, which features a £1 million leaderboard payout distributed from 1st to 30th place. LATIN has been a prolific performer this winter, winning multiple times and consistently placing. He is currently sitting in 3rd place (£50,000 leaderboard position) with four runs remaining, an excellent effort with everything still to play for.

James has also shown that he can source and improve horses depending on the individual requirements of the owner, so please contact us if you would like to discuss this further.
