James Owen Racing needs you!

Behind the scenes at James Owen Racing we have a dedicated team of staff ensuring that everything works to a high standard to create the few minutes of racing the public sees on the track. With early mornings and late nights, the staff work hard to create an environment for the horses to thrive in and this is reflected in our strike rate. This involves the daily care of the horses, flagging up anything out of sorts such as not eating up, minor injuries etc, exercising the horses and reporting any issues to be followed up by senior staff and vets as appropriate. Each and every member of our team is a cog in the wheel and key to our success over the last few years. We are fortunate to have a great team at Green Ridge Stables and want to celebrate their part in our journey. 

We are looking for individuals or companies who would like to sponsor an employee of the month series, either as a one off, for several months or a whole year. Not only do you have the opportunity to give back to the staff who help keep the sport we love going, but you will receive advertising through our website, social media channels and newsletter. We held our first employee of the month competition for April which was won by Nikki Arnold. Having only joined the team in February, this is Nikki's first role working in a racing yard, having previously rehomed horses through Retraining of Racehorses. She has slotted straight into the team, worked hard to learn about her new role and relishing the challenge. Andrew Hart, Key Account Manager at Dodson & Horrell, came to the yard to present Nikki with a gilet, jacket and coffee cup in recognition of her work. Dodson & Horrell supplies the yard with all our feed and are also an integral part of our success.
