Edison Kent is a lovely big athletic horse with plenty of ability and he looks to be an exciting prospect for the future. James also trains My Gift To You who has won 5 out of his 9 races for us.
EDISON KENT was bought from Doncaster sales in August this year, having previously raced for Jessica Harrington and more recently Paul Webber.
What the trainer has to say - "When studying his profile, he looked like a very progressive 4yo in Ireland and got to a mark of 120. It seems he then lost confidence in his latter runs in Ireland. He did however show a bit of promise in a Novice Chase which we will have on our side going forward. I purchased this horse as he is a nice athletic type and sound with a clean vetting. My thoughts were to sweeten him up and try to regain his previous form. I wanted to run him once to find out more about him and to be more confident syndicating him to owners going forward. His first run for us was very pleasing, finishing a staying on 4th in a good class two. EDISON KENT enjoyed himself being ridden totally different, with no pressure put on him. Lilly Pinchin gave him a lovely ride and was very pleased with his performance. This horse will stay very well and although we will keep him over hurdles for now, he will be a nice novice chaser in time.”
The cost is £425 to purchase a 5% ownership share.
The cost to cover his training costs is a maximum of £2000 payable in 4 instalments of £500.
