James took out his licence to train under rules in January 2023, and the yard has since gone from strength to strength, now housing 145 horses.

This season, we have a strong National Hunt string, who have brought us 75 winners already and represented us on multiple big race days, including at Cheltenham. In 2025, we saddled 90 winners over jumps, which was a record-breaking year, highlighted by BURDETT ROAD, who came second in the Gr.1 Champion Hurdle, along with his half-brother EAST INDIA DOCK, who landed two Gr.2 Triumph Hurdle Trials leading into last year's Festival.

The 2025/2026 National Hunt Season has seen us be made Champion 2025 Summer Jumps Trainer, and we are currently operating at a 25% strike rate. Looking forward to Cheltenham, we have a competitive lineup of horses aimed at this year's festival.

James has proven his ability to source and improve horses depending on the individual requirements of the owner. Please contact us if you would like to discuss this further.

We can offer stabling in a picturesque yard based on the unrivalled Newmarket Heath training grounds and can host you for stable visits.
